To improve speed of AVP,

a) set monitor scanning to include 13 files types only :

*.exe *.com *.bat *.dll *.pif

*.doc *.dot *.xls *.ppt *.pps

*.vbs *.shs *.scr *

 

or modify the file - c:\windows\avpmon.ini
